The usual advice I've heard is to do 3000-4000 questions. However, my friend only studied for 3 days, and found out last week that she passed the NCLEX with 75 questions. As far as time, 6 weeks is what heard to aim for when studying.
Good luck to you and everyone else! My test is on the 17th, yikes!
I personally worked 2 jobs for 30 days temporarily while in good faith trying to study for the nclex. I did what I could which wasn't very much since I was sooo tired. I constantly tried to study my weak area on the Saunders disk which was Pharm but you just never know what your going to get when you sit face to face with that computer; turns out that I only had maybe 4 or 5 Pharm questions and I was only familiar with 1 one of the drugs. I DIDN'T DO 3000 questions like I see so many say here on the site but don't let my experience be the final say for you because only you know what is best for you. I took my test Thursday and I found out when I came home from work this evening that I PASSED WITH 85 QUESTIONS!

Hi everyone just a quick question. I graduate the end of May and am hoping to get accepted into an internship which would start beginning of August. Which means I basically will only have about 4-8 weeks (depending on when I get my test date) to study for the NCLEX.
Do you feel this is sufficient time? Because it seems like kind of a squeeze to me and it's making me pretty nervous.
I promised myself to try to do some NCLEX questions outside my normal studies this semester but so far that hasn't happened.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether or not 4-8 weeks of study time is enough - thanks in advance.
