What are some study habits I need to use in order to do better on my nursing exams?

Published

I'm currently taking my first ever nursing course. I've already taken two tests and have another one coming up next week BUT I need to improve my grade. Please someone help!!

I read everything and take notes as I read before class on the topic. I do all the questions at the end of the chapter, all the questions in the workbook, and all the questions from the Success series (I'm using Fundamentals Success this semester). Then I re-read all the chapters before the exam. It is a lot of effort, but it pays off.

Also, when I take notes about a person or numbers, I make a special separate notes consisting of numbers and people (the things hard for me to remember).

I learned that by the time I made a flashcard for each major point and all the terms in each chapter, I had a pretty basic grasp of the material, could probably get at least a low C on an exam from that amount of work. Do the extras, like jsfarri suggests, and your grade will improve from basic barely passing.
