What are you scoring?? (Kaplan, NCSBN, Mosby CAT)

Published

For everybody who has passed their NCLEX and who has reviewed Kaplan, NCSBN learning extension, or the Mosby CAT...what were you scoring on each of these vaious tests?? Also did you pass or fail??? If you could just identify the program, scores, and if you passed or failed that would be great!! Any tips would also be appreciated :D :bowingpur :1luvu:

The Kaplan tests I was scoring around 70-75% on the tests in the book and scored 66% on the 180 question CD ROM test. I was scoring around 75% on the 590 questions in the Chicago Press Review book (although I'm not sure I'd recommend that one, noticed a number of errors). Took the Mosby CAT test 4 times, scored in order 94%, 94%, 82%, 99%. Not sure I'd recommend that either, after the first couple times the questions seemed to repeat alot skewing the percentage. Although the questions were pretty good.

I used NCSBN Learning Ext. prior to taking the NCLEX-PN last month. I was scoring anywhere from 78-85% on the different tests. On the pretest, I scored 78%. I ended up taking my NCLEX-PN prior to taking all the tests, but I passed with 85 questions. I absolutely believe that it helped me. I had only been using my Lippencott's and Mosby's review books up until I decided to buy the 3 week Learningext. program, and was passing the comprehensive exams in those books with 85% or more. They helped a great deal, as I had been using them throughout my schooling, as we were required to purchase Mosby's in our very first semester, but the question pool I found on the actual NCLEX was more similar to the Learning ext. questions. Especially the priority ones. Good luck.

HI Im scheduled to take the test on 2/28/ I have been using Mosby, Lippincott questions and im using on the line NSCBN.. I ahve been scoring 70% nothing higher and nothing lower

For those of you who have taken it...did you pass??...I am scoring 65-85% on the NCSBN, 64% on the first 2 tests on the Kaplan CD, and 94-99 on Mosby. I'm starting to feel like that is not good enough...Kaplan says that if you are over 65% you should be good but I'm getting doubts :o Plus I guess I am only half way through the learningext so maybe these will improve.

Yeah, I passed with 75 questions. Wasn't at all confident that I passed though and left the testing center pretty pissed off about the whole affair. Like I said earlier, I think I could have studied for years and still not come across a lot of the things they asked. It's more how you think than what you know. Practicing questions and know how to eliminate choices even if you don't really know the answer is crucial.

I passed with the minimum number of 85 questions on the NCLEX-PN.

Just found out that I passed! What a relief! I was absolutely certain that I failed. Computer cut off at 75 questions. I scored 73% on the Kaplan test and was pretty much in the 70-80% range on all my practice exams. Good luck!

I'm taking Kaplan right now, doing about 65-75%

Will let you know how it turns out! (test on Feb 17th!!) :uhoh3:
