What scores from TEAS exam will schools look at?

Published

Hey everyone,

I took my TEAS V yesterday and I did pretty well! I have a question about the score I received. Per section, will programs look at the adjusted individual score or the mean 'national and program' scores? Or does the total adjusted individual total score matter?

Thank you,

Chris

I think it depends on the school because the school I am attending looks at the mean national/program scores while the school that I'm trying to get into only care about the scores of the reading and math sections. Oh and congrats on passing! I take mine on the 12th and I am soooo nervous already.

Mine used the adjusted individual score, then would use the individual section scores (reading, math,...) for a tie-breaker.

Hi, all I know is that the school wanted us to at least score proficient. The numbers were not a factor for them.

Thanks for the input everyone, the program I'm applying for is asking for only the reading and math scores so I'm guessing this has to be the adjusted individual score. @NeoNurse2Be thank you! I was a little nervous too but you just need to focus. If you put the study time in you'll be fine!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm also glad you were able to find out which scores your school actually looks at. Good luck throughout the process. Hopefully, we'll all get accepted at the schools we want.
