Hey guys, I work in a LTACH and love it! Just want to know if my schedule is bad. It just got changed since I increased my hours a little.

so I am nights, 8 hour shifts.

i work 2 nights, then get 3 off. Then work 5 nights, followed by 4 nights off. Rinse and repeat.

is this schedule conducive to work/life balance? I do not have kids and am not married/no school.

what is everyone else's schedule like?

thanks!

I'd take it. My schedule is insane right now. Im not sure if it would work with kids, but currently not a concern for you.

You must realize that a "good" or "bad" schedule is subjective?? If you don't like your schedule, it's "bad" ...regardless of what other people think.

I'm working everyday for the next 27 days. 8 hour nights.

4 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 off.... Repeat and my shifts are LD, LD, LN, LN. It's a new schedule for me so I'm not sure if I like it or not yet :)

I currently work a 3/4 rotation with my FNP. 3 twelves one week and 2 twelves, an eight, and six the next week. Alternating weekends. I like it, but I think I would prefer just 3 twelves a week, but our company requires alternating weekends. Apparently there are people campaigning to adjust the rotations so we only work one weekend a month. We will see how that goes.

I think that having your days clustered like that is really good. I work nights and I prefer to do 2-3 on and 2-3 off or something. It depends on whether it works for you and your lifestyle. You're the only one that has to live with that schedule.
