What RN school?

U.S.A. California

Published

:idea:Am researching RN schools in the Inland Empire. There are only two and the cheaper one of them (Everest College) is an ADN program. It seems like a new program; actually both of them are. What would you advise? Does the program you attended affect job placements or do employers just care you got a CA lincense?

Thanks.

I'm not a moderator or anything, but thought I'd let you know that this probably belongs in the CA Nursing Programs Discussion subforum.

I'm not entirely sure where Inland Empire is located (Southern California?), but you should check out the Board of Registered Nursing website for approved programs and find the one is nearest to you.

Good luck!

It probably won't affect which nursing program you went to (jobwise).

Personally, I prefer California state nursing schools because they all have full accreditation. In the long run, I know I'll have less headaches when I decide to advance my degree.

Try applying to the state nursing schools. They changed their rules now. There are no waiting lists or lotteries anymore (or they're in the process of getting rid of those). They're changing into the POINTS system (same as Nevada). They realized that they will probably end up competing for students, so they decided to get smart :0).

There are many more nursing programs than just Everest in the Inland Empire unless you are only interested in private schools.

There is: Chaffey college, San Bernardino Valley College, Riverside Community College all within the Inland Empire and a half hour drive or less from Ontario.

Go to the california board of nursing to verify all licensed programs.
