What does "primary care" mean?

My hospital is thinking of getting rid of CNA's and go to primary care. What does that mean exactly? If it means what I think it means, it means we are in for PURE HELL!!

Even with 1:1, you do need someone to help you with turns, boosts, transfers. Obesity has become way more common, and I just can't safely move patients unassisted.

I've had to do that before. Works like a charm...unless the pt is very large and can't bend their knees to help some.
