What does "Old Fingerprint" mean?

Published

Hi everyone! I have a problem with my Illinois application. Passed NCLEX last April, and received the license application from Illinoois a week after that. Then after another week, received another letter from them stating that

"Applcaition cannot be processed due to errors or deficiencies. Illinois State police says that your fingerprint submission is too old."

What does "fingerprint submission too old mean"??

Thanks

It means that you need to have a new fingerprint card submitted to them. They were unable to use your card due to the age of the print on it. Just send them a new card. They will not permit you to take the NCLEX exam until you can give them that and it gets approved.

Thanks suzanne! I already passed the NCLEX Exam and received the license form to be filled up. They said I have to resubmit fingerprint and send it to the vendor named "FBI ONLY".

Anyway, where do I request a fingerprint card? Doest that mean I need to pay another $70 for the process again?

Thanks!

That is the Federal Bureau of Investigations for the vendor. You need to obtain the cards from where you obtained the previous set.

Suggest that you contact Illinois BON to see if you need to resubmit the fee, not sure of that one for Illinois.

How long ago did you submit the original fingerprint card to Illinois? That will influence if you need to pay again for that service.

Thanks Suzanne! I submitted the fingerprint card last year, around September - October. Then after a few weeks received my eligibilty. From what I know, I can't be eligble for NCLEX unless I complete all their requirements right? So, that means I had no problems with my fingerprint card?

Anywa, I better call Illinois BON to set things straight. Thanks again!

Suggest that you follow up with the BON. They do have the right to ask for anything additional if they need it before granting a license.
