I dont mean to sound stupid, but what does PSSX mean? I did take Medical Terminology and I dont think this was taught.

In context: It says, "PSS, PSSX, Sitter, HMA" With PSSX checked.

This is why The Joint Commission hates unapproved abbreviations.

You've had 77 views and no takers. This is not an accepted abbreviation.......34 years and I can't even venture a guess. Can you call the facility?

Too funny.....I have NO clue!!!! Let me know when you find out not I'm curious. I'v googled it and called everyone I know in several states. No answers now I DYING to know! :lol2:

Prefers Same Sex...uh, Caregiver? Haha, NO IDEA, don't listen to me. That's just the first thing I thought of. Please let us know when you find out. Be very careful of places that use their own abbreviations in public ads like that, though. Companies don't generally use abbreviations like that in ads, unless the abbreviation is well-known either by seeking professionals, or if it's area-specific.

I found one web reference to plain static and stress x-rays, but it looks like that was a broken link. I also wondered about physical (or psychiatric) signs and symptoms. Neither one of those completely fits in the context though.
