What does your program consist of?

Hi I'm new here and have already posted a few times. I start PN school in August. Cant wait!! Got orientation next week. Cant wait for that either. I was wondering how your programs are broken down. Mines is 3 semesters. 1st semester: Intro to Nursing & Med/Surg 2nd: Med/Surg and 3rd: Specialties in Nursing: gynological & Maternal nursing and Pediatric nursing. I have been lurking to see any similarities but I have yet to come across a program that included the gynological rotation. What do you think the difference is? Do you think that it could or could not be beneficial if I have a rotation that alot of the LPN schools I have seen don't have?:uhoh21:(This is as far as I can see, not sure if it's true or not) Just wanted some thoughts..Thanx:nuke:

Our program goes over maternity with newborm care, but not gyn. Here in protland you wouldnt get to work with gyn pts unless you are in a clinic. Hope this informaion helps.:nurse:
