I am now going back to school, basically starting all over can someone help me on what prereqs i need.

Specializes in CNA.

It's different at all schools...what state are you in?

Almost every school requires Anatomy and Physiology/Microbiology. Other than that it really depends on the school.

Soci(most), psyc(all), lifespan(all), arts/humanities, some require foreign language, philosophy or ethics

They vary from school to school, but generally they include:

anat & physio 1 & 2

biology

microbiology

developmental psych

nutrition

chemistry 1 or intro to chem (I think this may have changed, you can substitute chem for any other aproved bio--in FL, at least)

sociology

intro to psych

Your school BSN website will have the pre-reqs listed.

Alot schools also want the composition I &II as well.

Different schools are going to have different requirements for entry. Some classes are required to be completed before you can apply and get considered while others can be completed after acceptance but before entry. Supplemental requirements such as humanities can often be completed during the program.

You should do some research on the specific programs you will be applying for to see what their individual requirements are and then make a plan from there. Good luck.
