My school upped the required passing grade from a c+ to a b- which is a min of a 80 for nursing classes. No C=nurse here. Anyone else's school require a higher C for passing?
In my BSN program, we were required to have a 70 average for tests (no rounding), then calculate your grade from there if you passed. I know that a change to 75 average/pass grade is in the works. This semester they implemented ATI as part of our grade, without being counted as a test average. That being said, you essentially need a level 3 to pass the class. For now, you could get away with a level 2 if you have an 85 in the class before that. You have to get at least a 90% on the calculation "quiz." I believe we get a second chance if you don't but I'm not sure how that works out honestly. Clinical skills are pass/fail but you will get a second chance, especially if something more minor (took too long, forgot gloves, lack confidence).
