What are my options after failing nursing program in CUNY School

U.S.A. New Jersey

I live in New York and attended a CUNY College where I failed my 3rd semester of nursing and was not able to continue in the nursing program. I applied to Long Island University because I thought since it was a private school I could continue my nursing studies there, but was denied entrance into the nursing program because I failed the a nursing class in the CUNY College. Can someone help me with information on where I can continue my nursing studies? I am currently an LPN but dream of becoming an RN.

I failed 3rd semester nursing class, 1st time received grade NC (no grade), repeated class and only made grade C where I was not eligible to continue to next semester.

OK...I hope you get to read this. I cut and pasted your response above. Go back to your student handbook from the time you started the program...not an updayed handbook...the one that was in place when you started the program. Look in there to what grade the book said it requires to stay in the program. If the book says a grade of C or better, and this was the reason they let you go, then legally they have broken a binding contract with you...they have to let you back in. I have never heard a school taht requiires a B or better, so i ma thinking that it says C or better like most handbooks do.

In the meantime...what was the class? What are your other grades like? Is this a program that fits your learning style and needs? Were your other grades better?
