I think it's commendable that you self-reported and were honest to a fault about it.
I have no experience with this yet (you responded to my pre-licensure dual-diagnosis post a couple days ago), but my thought is that if the BON doesn't find out about the diverted narcotics, they might not put you on probation. I think if they do catch wind of that, it could be a problem, however. It may also depend on which state you are in.
I really am not sure, so please take what I say with a total grain of salt.
The fact that your home health job didn't fire you and you were able to leave of your own will is a strong point in your favor too, I'd think.
Wishing you all the best!
So you resigned from home care.. then did outpatient... but worked at a new job for 3 yrs and NOW the BON contacted you? How did they know? Did your home health agency report you? Are you still in home health or something different? Just curious... I was also in home health.. self reported and resigned under good standing... completed an inpatient rehab...but then signed up with Michigan monitoring program... dang! I wonder if I just looked for a job without signing up with hprp... if the BON would have ever even known??!

What are the odds I will get ordered into monitoring and narcotic restriction only and no probation or suspension? This is my first offense and I did self report but I will have a board order on October 8th when I meet with the board for a settlement conference. Nov 2015 will be 4 years since I went to inpatient rehab but I didn’t finish it. I did however finish an intensive outpatient program and I’ve worked as a nurse for 3 years now. I self reported for opiate and alcohol abuse and admitted to taking dc narcotics from Home health patients. I didn’t get fired from home health - I took a leave of absence then quit. Anyone gone through something similar? What was the outcome?
