I would like some advice on where to work. I graduated a year early from highschool and went into an LPN Program at the age of 17. I graduated in July and took my boards Friday and found out I passed today..yessss. I am taking one course at a community college and plan to pursue my RN one day. I would however like to get a job and gain experince plus save money for college. I am just not sure in which direction to head. Do I want to work in a doctors office, that would be nice because no weekends. Do I want to work in a hospital or be a travel nurse? I really don't think I want to work in a nursing home. I live in upstate NY. Any advice??Jean
I have always worked in nursing homes, but many are now rehab also. If you want experience, a rehab facility is the way to go. I work in a rehab facility on a vent/trach unit.
