What Nclex cd can you say mimics the actual Nclex RN exam?

Published

Is the Nclex questions more like Nclex 3000 with moderately hard questions or more like saunders with tremendously hard questions. I was wondering so I can focus my attention more to one Cd. My exam is on June 24. I am so scattered brained right now I don't know which topic to study first, but I am making the best of it.

i did both...they're both hard for me...but in my opinion if you think saunder's is much harder...then ill stick with it coz the questions on the nclex will really squish your brains out... and the harder the questions the better bcoz they say the computer gives you harder questions if your doin great on the previous questions or gives you easier ones if you keep on making mistakes...

glad i passed...i hope you will too...study hard!!!

I have about five different CD's that I use. The one I found the closest was the Kaplan CD. It simulates the test nearly exactly, and makes you go through all the questions. It's pretty tough.

I also liked Saunders.... stay away from the Nursing Made Incredibly Easy CD.

I used those CD's... but not a whole lot. What I found that helped me the most (and closely mimicked the actual NCLEX-RN) was from a website. It is NCSBN. You can purchase any length of time you want to use their questions. I think I picked 3 weeks and paid $45 for it. You can log on anytime, and anyplace. The question are catagorized. they also give you the rationale behind the right answer and the rationale of why the wrong answers are wrong. It also keeps track of your progress, and tells you which areas you are wek and strong in. Very awesome study guide!

thanks for the replies

What didn't you like about the Nursing Made Easy CD I have been using that with the Saunders CD ( I don't have Kaplan) and have like 5 of the nursing made easy books and magazine. I failed the first time I took the exam so now almost a year later I am hoping to try again. So if you think the Cd hinders rather than helps let me know so I can try somthing else before I test on May 25th.

Thanks
