Members are discussing the meaning of abbreviations related to visit frequencies in a job test for home health. They explain that LVN 1w1, 2w2, 1w7 stands for LPN visits once a week for one week, twice a week for two weeks, and once a week for seven weeks, which is a standard format for indicating visit frequencies in a plan of care.
It's the standard abbreviation for frequency of visits.
1w1 = 1 visit for 1 week
2w1 = 2 visits for 1 week
On our Nursing Plan of Care worksheet, we have an area where we write in our frequency, and a typical plan would be:
3wk1, 2wk2, 1wk4 Meaning for the first week you'd make 3 visits, then for the next 2 weeks you'd make 2 visits per week, then for the last 4 weeks just one visit per week.

I just took a test for a job in HH. There was ALOT of "what does this abbreviation mean questions." I answered all of them with no problem until I saw this: LVN 1w1 2w2 1w7.
