On your CV??

I am from the US. I have a Masters degree with family NP certification. and My CV title is currently:

K. A. B. MSN, FNP-BC

I am interviewing tomorrow and just realized that my CV says my US heading. Job is in the A&E for initially a Staff Nurse position (first position here in UK after moving)

Should I make it more UK friendly- ie. removed the FNP-BC...since NPs are not board certified? would you put RN, MSN, APN?

Please advise! THANK YOU!!!

Specializes in Surgical, quality,management.

None of them. I have never done it when I was in Ireland and I don't do it here in Australia. As a nurse manager now I do not look at letters after a applicants name. It is a cultural diference between USA and UK.

nobody really bothers with letters after their names to be honest as long as you have put down your educational qualifications thats all that matters, can sometimes be seen as pretensious putting letters after names.

Specializes in Advanced Practice, surgery.

As already mentioned we don't tend to bother with credentials, but as an interviewer I think I'd find it interesting as they wouldn't be easily recognisable and a point for discussion.

My only caution would be if they are nursing qualifications they may need to be accepted by the NMC before you can put them after your name.
