I really want a good voice recorder, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for one. What kind do you have, where did you get it, and how much was it? I have never used one before, but I have a feeling that it will end up becoming my best friend for the next two years!

I have a sansa sandisk mp3 player that has a voice recorder. Works beautifully. It was pretty cheap also, and you can upload the voice clips to your computer and save them there and burn them to a CD to listen to in the car, or just listen to them w/the mp3 player.

I have a lil Sony digital recorder, one that comes with a USB cord to run to the computer and with software that can switch the Sony digi format to mp3s, to listen to on mp3 player or burned to a disc, or can use for editing ..... or can be listened to on the comp (w/ software) as originally recorded....has something like 512 MB of recording space, but I generally re-listen/download/delete after a day or 2, so the storage is kind of overkill. It's very handy, and I can e-mail voice files to others who need 'em. Cost was, oh, I dunno .... $49 ??? ... somewhere around that.
