I was wondering what is kaplan course book about? i have never heard about it and is this the book that you get only after completing their crash course???

Any idea guys, please help, i have only one month to prepare...

I'm not sure...but I'm going to assume its the book used when signing up for Kaplan review course. Have you read Amazon.com: Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2012-2013 Strategies, Practice, and Review WITH CD-ROM (Kaplan Nclex-Rn Exam) (9781609785659): Kaplan: Books I read this book cover to cover 2 weeks before my exam. I can honestly say this book made it all come together for me. Everything I studied made sense after reading this book. Don't panic....take it one day at a time. I'm sure you're feeling anxious at this point. Stay positive!

Thank u @begosh, ya I read this book. This is my third try on NCLEX-RN & as you can see I am super nervous. Keeping my spirits high and studying, though I find Saunders bit boring...I like the way Kaplan challenges one's way of thinking.

Forget everything you learned in PI. NCLEX is a textbook exam. Switch your thought process to strictly what you read in NCLEX review books and you will do just fine. Yeah I could not handle Saunders either. So I switched to Hogan.

Finally i can relate to somebody, thank you so much, everybody told me to read Saunders, but i just couldn't. Yes i am going to stick to Hogan only. Thank you so much for guiding me. It means a lot.

You are welcome! Fortunately, I passed NCLEX RN in Dec 2012. To give you a little background, you may want to read my post here https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/18-yrs-post-803371.html. Hopefully, you can pick up some tips to help you with your studies.

Again, stay positive. Find resources that best fit your learning style because that enhances your retention and drive to study. Good luck!

i just read your post, its amazing , you are a true inspiration. looking at your post i seriously think i should not complain on my 2 yrs post B.S.N...

On the day of your exam, go in with the mentality that you're there to take all 265 questions in 6 hours. So when the computer goes past 75 questions, you won't get flustered and lose concentration. Also, Especially with higher level questions, (priority, who do you see first, etc) eliminate 2 incorrect answers as much as possible. Then apply SAARE method. Read and understand what the question is asking before looking at the answer choices. NCLEX will randomly confuse you by throwing in hypoglycemia when the stem of the question pertains to cardiac problem. This is just an example...not from actual exam. Just remember, NCLEX is ivory tower nursing....strict textbook exam. Don't read too much into the question and don't think of "we'll, what if." You can do this!

@begosh :yes surely i would keep this in mind and have a positive approach too. Thanks again.

I just bought the Kaplan book that someone put the link to up above. I graduated in December and have just been chilling out and just registered to take it on Feb 18th. Yikes! I need to get my butt in gear! We are also taking our kids to Disney World 3 days later so how awesome would it be to pass nclex and then get on a plane to the happiest place on earth? :)
