What does this job description mean?

Hi,

I'm starting to look at CNA jobs for after I get my CNA this coming summer. What does:

32pp 2pm-10pm

EOW/EOH

mean?

I am guessing 32 hours per pay period, and you would work 2-10 pm when you do work, and every other weekend/every other holiday, but how do I know exactly what days they are hiring for? This matters because I'm a student and I have certain days that I couldn't work that shift on.

The days you will be required to work are often not listed in job descriptions.

This sort of thing would usually be mentioned when you are offered the job, or it may be brought up at the interview.

If you mention that you are a student (especially a nursing student), facilities are often willing to provide flexible hours to accommodate your school schedule.

So is the rest of what I had figured out correct? So I would assume that the job is posted for 16 hours/week?

Job applications usually have a section to indicate availability.

It is probably, but not necessarily, 16 hours per week. It's also possible that it could be 24 hours one week and 8 the next. The employer will clarify this during the interview.

And yes, you are correct in that it is 32 hours per pay period (a pay period is usually 2 weeks) and that you are required to work every other weekend and holiday.
