What info for sub nurses?

Specialties School

I'll be doing a training on Thursday and Friday this week, so my school is getting a sub! What information do I need to leave for them?

I have a folder from the nurse last year, but it's fairly sporifice, and I'm trying to update it.

I've got a list of my scheduled meds, the students, the meds, and the locations of the meds and the students at the time of administration.

I'm also making a list of my PRN meds.

And I'm making a list of my equipment and the locations on where to find it.

What else should I make note of? Good times to eat? Where the staff lounge is? I want to make it as easy as possible for the sub nurse. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of written medical policies, (that I'm trying to change!), so I can't provide that type of info.

Thanks for your input!

Everyone above listed a lot of what I leave.

I have a sub folder vs. binder. The sub I regularly use is a nursing school friend, so I leave her a computer log-in with information on how to access everything she needs electronically (allergy list, asthma list, EMR, class schedules, etc.) in my sub folder.

In the folder goes: med list (daily/PRN/insulin), guide to locations of everything in my office (including emergency cards), phone numbers and people to know how to contact at my school, OTC med guidelines, Epi-pen and Seizure guidelines, quick and dirty documentation sheets if EMR is down or to quick document when the number of kiddos is too many to keep up with the EMR in real time. I'll put Health Care plans in there for complex kiddos, but I also make a frequent flier/need-to-know list that I update a lot.

I tape my med key in the folder and the first page has a huge THANK YOU on it and my cell phone if needed (text first).

Oh and a time sheet they fill out that I need to sign and turn in so they will get paid :).

All of the above and emergency evacuation procedure!
