What should I expect in RT school

Published

I know there are a few RT or RN's who used to be RT's here. Can anyone tell me what to expect in school?

Specializes in ER, ICU,.

Does anyone know of a RT forum anywhere?

I would love to know a good one as well. It would be great to have an RT support group or thread.

I say we take a couple nurses hostage until they start bringing in more RT's for us determined hopefuls :argue: :banghead:

There is one called rtcorner.net. Indeed.com also has an RT forum. There are a couple of others and a few RT blogs that have links to forums. RTcorner.net I believe has links to others as well.

kharing,

Does a respiratory student have to be really good in math to be successful? I am a bit behind but I'm working my way back up through developmental classes. I won't start algebra until spring though next year, and in February I will already be applying to schools to start respiratory in either summer or fall.

In my opinion, math is essential. If you don't have an understanding of dosage calculations and physics...it will be a struggle.

check out respiratorychat dot com...it's really small though.

Way too funny TX RN!

Indeed seems to be the most active RT thread....the others are very slow.....it's sad really.
