Thank You OneKidney & Lacie, I actually sent my resume to them with a cover letter a couple of days ago...I am anxious. Hubby's been laid off and is a 2x colon cancer survivor and I am feeling like a big change is needed. I know I would do an awesome job, just don't think I look that great on paper....no CNA. Nursing school years ago....so we shall see. I will probably do a follow up call next week...again : ) Thanks again for listening, 2010 is going to be a year of great change I can feel it already!!! Well, I called and FA's are not taking any phone calls...relating to a position. They must be receiving lots of calls. : (

Thanks, I will actually call and ask for the FA tomorrow. I actually asked to speak to the hiring manager and was not able to get past gal answering the phones...she was trying very hard to not have to put me through if you know what I mean. I don't have a CNA so this would be a great opportunity for me if only it would work out. I had a year of nursing school many years ago, and would love to get back in again.

I live in CA and was looking to get into the PCT training program with DaVita, despite all the negative things I have been reading about them.... but apparently at some DaVita clinics they are phasing that out. So now you definately have to be a CNA prior to PCT training. That is what the gal who answered the phone told me today. Just an FYI. Happy New Year to All

Oops, I just realized you're a nurse. Sorry I was looking for a PCT trainee position, just not sure if they are accepting those without a CNA....would still like to hear if you got in :)

hello and happy holidays all! i am looking for a major career change, i would love to leave the real estate world and head into the medical field. been looking into cna training, to start...and came across pct training at the above facility here in ca. looking for feedback from anyone who has gone through it themselves, please. also, if you are a pct can you use that skill base to further your career and go for the lvn later on down the road??? due to time and financial contraints, i am unable to attend a full time lvn program at this time, so have been really investigating alternate routes, esp with my chilldrens schedule. thanks in advance!!!

Hi MrsLVN, Well, for a couple of years now I have been posting here in hopes of going to school sooner than later, but my husband was diagnosed in 2007 with colon cancer and life has been, well....crazy busy. Thank the Lord he is in remission now, after a battle of it in his liver recently. So, I was looking to go get my LVN, while life was less crazy for him....but can't afford that high tuition. So I am thinking just going to Gavilan College in Gilroy. Which stinks cuz it will take longer, but its my only option. Don't qualify for any student loans. So I was hoping there was something I was missing out there, but apparently not. Thanks so much for your input and lots of luck to you....
