In the NICU, one of our standard references is Handbook of Neonatal Intensive Care by Merenstein and Gardner. It's pretty NICU-specific and it probably won't be your go-to book in home health. However, I think it would be a great add to your library so that you can understand the etiology behind some of the long-term problems you guys will manage.

I am looking for a good textbook with tons of helpful information as far as assessments, diagnosis, and such go that covers sick premature infants and newborns. I search on amazon.com but there were way too many to narrow it down. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it:)
Thanks!
