What is going on?! RN from KS to CA going through License by Endorsement

As the title states: I am an RN from KS who recently located due to my boyfriend accepting a job promotion. I mailed in everything required from me by the State of California on September 23rd and they received the envelope on September 25th (I paid extra to have it tracked by USPS). I enclosed money for a permanent as well as temporary license just to be safe. My BreEZe account has shown both license I applied for as "pending" since December 5th. I have tried calling and nothing. It says to please hold then to try calling again, clicks and hangs up the line. Money is running low and I am at a loss for what to do or what could possibly be going on. Please give me any information you may have or suggestions.

I hate it when I have been on hold for a long, long time and then the other party hangs up the phone (think Wells Fargo Bank). But it is particularly aggravating when it is a government agency responsible for such outrageous behavior. When it comes to the nursing boards in CA, I always suggest going there in person, arrive early in the day, and plan for the long haul.

It's my understanding that California is famous for it's BON moving at slower than a snail's pace and that they are famously difficult to contact by phone. I second the responder that suggested you find the nearest physical office to get answers. Be prepared for a long day.

When I visited the Board in person, I was advised that it is easier to get stuff done when you go early in the day on Tuesday through Thursday. And they were very pleasant and willing to help. Maybe everybody was having a good day.

You can also email them through Breeze. I did get response when I did that. You might also try contacting the California state RN associations for help. Good luck.

I moved to San Diego from Kansas 4 years ago and it actually took me about 8 months to clear by endorsement 😫. Call at least once a week, did they cash your check? They actually lost my paperwork and did not admit it until snot 5 months in... And made me go to the back of the queue. It was a nightmare.

Thank you to everyone who replied. Just an update, I ended up emailing the board on a Wednesday and received my license two days later! Now to find a job...
