What is the first thing you are going to buy once you are a nurse?

My first major purchase will be....wait for it.......A HOUSE, lol. I know some of you are like "WTH" lol. I am going to work my ass off that first year or so for a down payment. What are you losers *ahem*, I mean gentlemen going to buy?

I definitely need a new Car. I want a Dodge Challenger R/T.

It's just the fact that im a male nurse who drives a miata, so that's two stereotypes already I need to break through. Already a working nurse though, so its just a matter of time to save up. ^^

I want to travel, and pay off loans. I am used to being broke, so I will avoid tangible luxuries until I am loan free. Easier said then done. lol

I plan to pay off all my student loans. Pay off the new car I just bought if it is not paid off yet and then save for a nice home.

Where do all you people saying youre gonna buy a house and buy a $75k car think you're gonna get the money? RNs make decent money, but you're not exactly instant millionaires. You have student loans, then you have bills, then you have certifications, etc.. then MAYBE you can have some money left over for frivolities.

But you really think you're gonna be handed a check for $200,000 the day you get your license?

I'm having to sell my beautiful red Avalanche to pay for the first semester or two of tuition. :( Right now, I need the money more than I need my beautiful truck. When I get done with school, though, I'm gonna be on the hunt for a beautiful red convertible that will seat all four of my dogs and my husband! :)
