What Exciting Thing is Your Management Doing For 'Nurses Week'???

Just wanted to check in with my peers to see what management has in store for you for nurses week.:balloons: I'm sure they're going all out, right? They'd never come up with anything stupid, that insults your intelligence and good taste, correct??? I'm sure, whatever they do will be well worth all the hard work you all put in throughout the year!!!:biggringi

Our hospital was actually very nice last week. :)

The VP of the hosp. (head honcho nurse) was in the cafeteria from 12:00am til 3am to pass out desserts. They gave us clipboards and pens and a license plate holder for our cars and the guys from security WASHED our cars on Friday. I have to say that the hospital I work for is pretty decent to its nurses...and all employees for that matter. Not just for nurses' week, but throughout the year. Of course, there will always be a certain amount of "politics" anywhere you go...that's just a fact of life unfortunately.

I have worked many different places in different areas of the country and there are definitely differences in the amount of respect that is shown to the nsg staff from hosp. to hosp. There are too many options out there to stay at a place that does not respect its nurses.
