What exactly does the HesiA2 score mean?

Published

Hi everyone,

I took the Hesi A2 test this morning and I'm a little confused about the results. I received 80.43 on reading comprehension, 90 on grammar, 84.81 on vocabulary, and 94 on math with a overall percentage of 87.11%.

I want to apply to University of Texas at Arlington and Tarrant County College but I don't know if my score is good enough. My science GPA is around 3.7 and my overall is around 3.6.

I really want to get into a nursing program ASAP but I don't know if I'm competent enough. What do you guys think?

Are my results good enough?

Also, we weren't required to take any of the science sections. The only sections we were required to take was those that I stated above.

Any help would be great! :)

Depends on your school, and (for my school atleast) it changes from semester to semester. For example, if most of the class had over-as an average-80%, you did great. If the average is 90%, yours would not be great. But no doubt your school is considering GPA, etc too so it's not not the cornerstone of your acceptance, I'm sure. We were told not to get too excited nor discouraged by our HESI score. Hope that makes sense. :) But it could be different at your school, I would read over their policy.

Good luck to you!!

I am applying to TCC. Last time I checked the class average was 85%.

Yeaa, I checked and the class average was 85%. If you don't mind me asking, what did you get on the test. By the way, did you take it today at UTA, too?

I guess compared to class average I did good, but I'm still worried. My total score if you add all the percentages was 348 which is higher than 300 but I really wished that I did better on the test. :/

I think (not knowing much about that particular program) that your stats sound awesome, and you have great chances. GL!
