What do you eat during your shifts?

I work 12 hour night shifts, between 3 and 5 a week (usually 5, LOL). So I'm at work a lot. I am not too experienced at cooking nor am I really able to afford to buy a lot of groceries to meal prep or cook before work. I really struggle with this topic because I feel like I'm always hungry at work. I don't know if it's the night shift aspect or what. I have been spending way too much money in the cafeteria lately (that payroll deduction makes it sooo easy). So I guess I'm looking for advice or suggestions on what to eat at work? Ideally I would bring food I made at home but it never seems to taste as good at work, haha.

I always bring a grapefruit to eat when I work at night. It takes a while to eat, is super hydrating, low calorie. I buy a big container of roasted, unsalted cashews, and keep a few small containers (those little Ziploc square plastic ones) in my bag. A greek yogurt, with another small container filled with paleo granola to mix in. I try to keep my food intake at night light, healthy, hydrating and protein-filled.

Graham crackers/saltines and peanut butter from the nutrition room, or if I'm feeling salty, chicken broth. Jello for dessert.

haha, Hmm.. I try to keep protein based stuff- cheese sticks, jerky, bars, greek yogurt. really quick things that keep you full. Big meals do slow me down, so I just wait to enjoy them when Im not working.

Thank you all for the suggestions!
