I was reading this article on Yahoo! about the top high-skill jobs that don't require a college degree, and RN was the #1 spot with annual salary $67000 and projected growth of 26%. I'm a LPN, so I know that's college diploma, but I thought RNs needed an associates or bachelors DEGREE (or higher). Am I right? Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!!

Where I work (a Magnet facility, 1000 beds, teaching, etc.) Diploma RNs, BSNs and ADNs are paid the same.

Im pretty sure to be magnet status you need to have a certain number of BSN's on staff or else you can't maintain the title. BSN would get the nod before anyone else when applying.

This is true. But there is no stipulation that requires Magnet hospitals to pay BSNs more.

Our diploma, ADN, BSN are paid the same, it is magnet and your clinical ladder status determines the higher pay rates (certifications are one time bonuses and x amount for every time you renew them).
