Hmmm... I would go to one of the HR offices and apply in person. It's possible their system is glitched. We just had some system problems in the past week. This could be part of it.
Which one of the hospitals were you interested in?
Hi Yellow Finch-
I did go to the HR department, they told me they changed their system and you can only apply online. Wellstar has one website for all hospitals.
I would work anywhere, Marietta, Austell, Paulding, any of those hospitals in those areas...I keep getting rejection emails, I heard from someone else that its happened to them too. only way to get in is if you know someone that is already working there.

I have applied for many positions there in the past month and have had the same response. I wondered if maybe they were looking for experience or if I was just inadequate?? Very frustrating as they had many positions open, but I have given up on that route.

I went through the same thing when I tried applying for an RN position. I received "rejection" emails because I did not have my license number to put on the application. I was told I wouldn't have an interview unless I had an RN license. I took boards and passed but didn't have the number yet. I don't know about CNA positions.
Feel free to pm me with any questions.

We were taught in nursing school not to use any bullet points (or similar objects) in the online resume because the computerized system will instantly disqualify you for the position. I believe you can go to the WellStar administration building on Sandy Plains Rd. and fill out a written application… the HR headquarters is located there. Also, I don’t graduate from nursing school until May 2009 and I already have an interview in place from WellStar. I guess that you just need to know how to properly create a resume (It doesn’t matter who you know…but some like to make excuses!).
I have heard some have interviews set up prior to graduation, but I have spoken directly with HR and was told numerous times I cannot apply for an RN position if I don't have a license! (This was last year at this time). This is not my excuse. I was frustrated because I was a tech with Wellstar and could not get an interview at the time. I was told I had to wait until I passed boards. It sounds like the system is inconsistent to me because I know others like me who have had difficulty getting an interview. HR said it also depends on whether the position will accept new grads. Could be the position/unit I applied for was only for experienced nurses.
Needless to say, one day in May I floated to another floor (where I work now) and a co-worker spoke to the manager about a RN position that was opening up. The manager called HR to allow my application to go through so it would not be blocked. This finally worked and I had an interview scheduled the next week.
Jhaney17, please post how your interview went. I heard at my hospital there is a new grad hiring freeze. Maybe in May it will be different.

Are you graduating from KSU....I think that wellstar has a contract with KSU.
I was thinking the same thing. It's hard for some universities to get contracts with Wellstar because Kennesaw has first pick.

I graduated from KSU this past December and sent my resume online. I got an email saying they were rejecting it, but I also directly contacted someone who I met at our career fair. She was willing to offer me a position, but it was in Paulding, too far from my house. So then a couple of days ago I got a call to schedule an interview to the location close to my house (approximately two months after I applied, and after receiving rejection emails!). I already have a job, though, so I declined.
I would find a contact who you could email directly. Good luck with your search!
Okay, I am just noticing that this was originally posted in 2006 :). Sorry for the late reply!!
