I have been searching nearly every day since April for a "non floor" nursing job and cant find anything in my area (Kansas)! I have looked at all job search websites, the paper, anything and everything I can find with jobs on it but am having no luck. I would like to get into risk management, or quality assurance, stuff like that, away from pt. care. I really enjoy the "office" type setting 8-5. I would consider doing a Dr. office, but like i said I would like to get away from pt. care. Does anyone do anything like this or know of any resources I can try? Thank you in advance!

What did you use as the search keywords? When i search on those all they list are travel jobs or floor jobs!

Try Public/community Health, MDS Coordinator at a nursing home, telephonic case management/telephonic triage, and just call up insurers. Go to the websites of insurance companies and see their job openings. I would think they'd be numerous in a big place like KC.

Most of the time I just used nursing as the search keyword. Maybe there aren't as many listings in your area.

Thanks everyone! Im in Wichita and when I put in nurse or registered nurse, all that pops up for the most part are floor jobs! Surely there is SOMETHING out there right!?? :chuckle
