Hey guys, im very curious how it is now searching for a nursing job in the U.S. We are based in Switzerland and my wife (NCLEX passer) applied for a job a few days ago. She was very upset after hearing that they are only hiring if she already has a RN role. The thing is my wife is currently working as a nursing assistant because theres a certain process (a long one) if she wants to work as a Nurse and she hasn't done this yet. My question is, does this apply for everyone or did we just get a very strict employer/Agency?
I appreciate all the responses.

Who is "they" that won't hire her? Also "after hearing" from who? You could come to Wisconsin. Every hospital around here is hiring. If she can't find an RN job then she isn't looking. If someone says no move onto the next one. Good luck.
