What are some creative ways to get an rn/lpn position?

Has any of you ladies and gentleman had a creative way to getting a job. If you can post your opinions, it would be great to learn from you all. I did think about volunteering but sometimes you have to think outside of the box when getting or considering a job. I know an interview doesn't always mean you will get the job but what are some good tips or tactics into landing an interview..

go in with resumes and speak with recruiters, hand them your resume and tell them how bad you want to join the team ..NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK
