I know a few people in ADN nursing programs and they have been talking about passing CPA's. I have no idea what those are and what their significance is. I am in a BSN program and we have nothing like that. I am just really curious!
Please enlighten me. :)

Not that hard to Google. They are possibly accountants in their previous career, maybe.
That's not it. Nursing is their first and only career pursuit. I did google it and couldn't find a clear answer. That's why I am asking on this forum. It's some kind of test I'm pretty sure.

I did a little research on google because I have never heard of that either. Clinical Performance Appraisal? Basically a document that evaluates your skills in clinical rotations.

CPA is Certified Public Accountant. I've never heard it used in reference to nursing.

I think it is a Clinical Performance Appraisal....a skills test/evaluation. It's is a local term for that program and not a general term.

In Pennsylvania we have PCA's which are akin to CNA's but work mostly in acute care.
