hi!..i took the december NLE and the exam focused mainly on community nursing and psychiatric nursing and the format of the exam was the promotive, curative etc type...and i think this wont be true for the june NLE..i've heard from dr.letty kuan, member of the BON, during our oathtaking last january that the the format will be like: Test1-pediatric nursing, test11-psych nursing and so forth..so i think u really have to study all these areas..:).. the DOH Community Nursing book will be helpful for you Community Nursing Review..hope these will help...:)

hi... i just wanna ask if what are the topics focused on Test III, Test IV, and Test V.....

anyone out there.. please help... thanks..

tnx jbeverly, stsinner and inha_fixt. your info will help me

does anybody know what grade for every subject that must be met in order to pass? thanks!!!

hello moses59, in order to pass the NLE, you must get an overall average of 75% with no grade less than 60% in any of the 5 exams.

If an examinee gets an overall average of 75% but has a grade less than 60% in one of the 5 exams, he/she would have to repeat that particular exam and would have to get a grade of 75% in order to pass.

hello stsinner, the topics for the nle are as follows (this is according to the handout given out by the PRC):

day 1:

test 1 -foundation of professional nursing practice (so I guess this would include funda, prof ad, management)

test II - community health nursing and care of the mother & child (CHN & OB, Pedia)

test IV - care of clients with physiologic & Psychosocial alterations (Part B)

day 2:

test III - this is Part A (of care of clients with physiologic & psychosocial alterations) this would probably include MS, Psych Nursing, Pedia, Communicable disease, Funda etc.

test V - this is Part C

thanks for the infor, Iskij. it would really help.

is the 60% based on the items of the exam or on the highest score for the exam? thanks!!!!

hello moses59, if you get 60 correct answers out of 100 (items) then you'll get a score of 75%.

I'm not sure though as to how many correct answers are needed to get a grade of 60%.

going back to the topic... in most of the test, there are research questions, emergency nursing, therapeutic communication for test v, total parenteral nutrition, burns, triage nursing.

Specializes in none.
hello moses59, if you get 60 correct answers out of 100 (items) then you'll get a score of 75%.

Where did you get that? Is there a table for the grading system?
