What classes did you pair with A&P I (Anatomy)?

Published

I'm seeking the advice of those who've done it before me. What courses and how many did you take with A&P I. I don't work and wanted to really get a chunk of credits out of the way, what do you suggest? I know I have to take a pre-calc class in spring as well as a&p (which should be okay, I'm pretty comfortable math and scored the top rated professor!)

Do you think I could add another science? or maybe 2 other humanities classes like speech and health? I know a&p is mostly memorization so I already started memorizing the musculo-skelatal system, so I've got all major bones and muscles memorized already.

What was your a&p I semester like, did you have a great teacher? What grade were you able to get? I want to know!

I took it with English Comp and Math. It's ALOT of study time. I probably spent a good 30 hours a week studying. I have 5 kids so it's not a fair comparison for me to give but on my schedule with all the papers I had to write for English I couldn't have done any more. I haven't gotten my final grade but as of Monday when I took my finals I had A's in all.[/quote']

Wow, u r amazing and plus 5 kids. How did u arrange the time?

I balanced out all of my biology classes with something wasy and I took A&P during the summer BUT, when I took Micro in the fall, I took an elective like spanish, a math class as well as a psych or soc

I took General Psychology with A&P1. Both were summer classes and the teachers were fair. There was a lot of studying. I took A&P2 along with Microbiology. That also required a lot of studying and meeting with study buddies. I worked full time while taking these classes and it was a lot of work but I found AP and Micro went hand in hand. I think Medical Terminology might be a good class to take with the A&P. Mine was online and fairly easy.

By the way, I made all A's.

I took A&P 1 (lecture and lab) with chemistry...which I was really nervous about. I was going to take human growth and development but I decided to hold off as this was my first semester after being out of school for almost 14 years!

A&P was a lot of memorization. It got a little overwhelming for me when we got to the muscles and the brain. It was a really fun class though.

My first semester worked out really good for me. I've decided to take 4 classes next semester.

Good luck with your classes...btw, love your profile pic!

Thanks for the advice Tobs31!

And the compliment
