What classes should I take next semester?

Published

I was thinking

College Algebra

Chemistry

Philosophy

Developmental Psychology

But I'm not sure! Is this doable or maybe a little too heavy? I'm not very good at science or math so I'll really want to focus on those. But those are the two definite classes I really would like to take. The other two I'm not sure of yet, and I might be taking them online too. Whacha think guys? What would be the most manageable? I'll also be working part time, almost full time.

The other options would be -

a fine arts and appreciation course, nutrition, "general elective?", statistics, microbio, pathophysiology

But I think I should probably stay away from patho and microbio for now. I'm not sure what statistics would be like but I don't know if I'd want to take that with chem and algebra. Not sure what a general elective is? Or nutrition?

If you are not proficient in math then maybe you should not take college algebra and chem together being that chem is mostly math. The developmental psych and philosophy consist of most writing. Most people like taking math classes back to back so it stays fresh in their minds.

A general elective is usually any class the meets the required credit hour, however, I would recommend taking only general elective courses that relate to your nursing program. Nutrition is an interesting course, if you do not want to do chem and algebra, maybe you can switch one of them with human nutrition.

Also check out the professors on ratemyprofessor.com - they can give you an idea of how the professor teaches, what they expect in class, and if they are an "easy A". Not meaning you should take someone just because they're "easy" (especially in classes that will help you in nursing) but it's easier to make a decision when you read what is expected of you with each professor.
