i'm not sure if its been there for a long time or not, i just started noticing it last week, but i i am not sure.

Chances are it is nothing serious, but it does need to be evaluated by your doctor.

Has the growth been there for awhile and just recently became 'lumpy', or is it a new growth altogether?

Whatever it turns out to be, it sounds like something that doesn't belong on your butt! Get it checked out asap.

ASAP! Don't wait two weeks. If it is serious, two weeks could make a big difference in the treatment/prognosis.
