I understand your commitments and necessity for flexibility. However, you will want to make sure you stand by an institution that will truly shape you into being an excellent provider. I am a current NP student and you will spend a lot of time on classwork. In low quality programs, you will be posting on message boards and writing essays. In high quality programs you will be tested on your mastery of the content.
My recommendation:
Degree programs | School of Nursing
The programs ranked 5 and 3 on usnews if you do a quick google search.
There are other schools with online components, such as utilizing 2U platform: Online Masters Programs from Top Ranked Universities | 2U
I recommend working with a program local to you or where you want to settle, because you're more likely to have clinical connections and networking opportunities after you graduate.

I can tell you right now all of the ones in WA will have you find your own preceptors. i.e. Gonzaga. Most are pricey too.
Do you have to spend a lot of time for classes? Well gee, you are learning how to become a medical provider, so I think so. Have you even thought about what a NP does? Your last statement is kind of scary.

I live in WA, and I applied to the University of Cincinnati (UC) and Frontier Nursing University (FNU). I specifically applied to their WHNP program.
UC's program is completely online, no campus visits. The cost is approximately $ 40K. It takes 2 years to complete the program if you attend full time. UC is ranked # 11.
FNU is located in Kentucky and requires two campus visits. The cost is approximately $ 36K. It takes 2 years to complete the program if you take the accelerated route (3 classes per term). 2 years and 9 months if you attend full time ( 2 classes per term).
Both programs are approved in the state of WA. The programs require you to find your own preceptors. (Most programs do)
Thank you Benrosy for your suggestion, I will also look into those universities.
Thank you Dranger for your input .
Thank you XXbeach for your input . I have seen so much time waiting to be accepted for university which are available locally . I would lov feel lucky to be if I get accepted for those university. However I wanted to finish FNP program as I planned rather being in waiting game . Is it worth to wait and wait with all those expensive tution or rather finish the program available online ?

...do I have to spend lot of time for classes?
Please don't try and become an NP.
