What is the attire for attending a continuing education class?

Published

I'm a student and need to take a 6 hour continuing education class at another college. Do I have to dress professional or can I just wear a tank and jeans?

Specializes in Orthopedic, LTC, STR, Med-Surg, Tele.

Mine are online so I like to wear sweaties and thick socks :)

Specializes in Psych ICU, addictions.

See if the facility/course has a dress code for the class. If they do, follow it.

If they don't...it's better to err on the side of caution: you can't go wrong with business casual. If it's going to be any sort of hands-on class, neat jeans (read: no rips, frays or wacky colors/dye) and a blouse, or neat scrubs (read: clean, pressed, unstained) are also good choices.

Specializes in PACU.

A bikini is totally the way to go. The skimpier the better.
