Ive been looking into a cc and after all prereqs, which i already have from lpn school i will only need 4 nursing classes to complete RN program:
-Transition nursing
-Maternal/infant nursing
-Psych nursing
-Nursing Management
all classes are 7wks long so its only 2 semesters! plus at that school you need to maintain only a 71 avg for a C!!! which is much lower than the 80 avg that my lpn programs requires for a C.
Please share what nursing classes you need for transition and what is a C in your program.

My area isn't very advanced in giving LPNs a lot of credit. You can challenge:
Fundamentals
Maternity
Med/surg I (if you have actue experience)
You still need to take all the other courses required for an associates. Took me 2 1/2 years to get them all done - part time. I wouldn't really call this a true "bridge" program, but maybe a "get some credit for your LPN" program.

I would suggest you speak to an advisor at the school you're looking at. For my bridge program, we had two full semesters of med/surg, which included advanced med/surg & critical care. We did not, however, have maternity because that is covered in LVN school in CA. We also had transitions, leadership (2 semesters), psych, and preceptorship. At first it didn't seem like there would be too much to cover, but the part-time program definitely was full-time involvement! NOTHING like LVN school! Good luck!

Since I attended an LVN program at a trade school that was not regionally accredited, I needed to take everything, all prerequisites, corequisites, and nursing classes.

The right hand column is the number of quarter hours for the class, which should add up to 30 and will be completed over 3 quarters. I can't wait to start in September!
