Hey everyone:

I am back again! I got denied for Spring 2019, so I am reapplying in hopes I get in this time around.

This go 'round, I am applying to TWU, UTH, and possibly HCC. I am looking for more schools I can qualify for. I have finished all my prerequisites, so for now, I am just relaxing (sort of )!

Science GPA- 3.81

TEAS:

Math-100%

Reading- 83%

Science- 80.9%

Best wishes to everyone!

WOW those are really good grades! Do you think re-taking classes affect getting in?

Depends on your GPA and grades I'm assuming. I had a C in Hist 1301 and a couple of Bs

What are all your scores and grades?

Has anyone realized that this school does not have the ACEN accreditation???....... correct me if I'm wrong I really hope I'm wrong because If so I'll be declining my offer.

I Still have a couple to complete but I have As and Bs , with the exception of Govt 2306 & HIst 1301, I have F because I had family emergency and couldn't finish them ? but I am re-taking them this spring ?

So once you redo those Fs you should be good. How are your TEAS scores?

Of course! So TEAS compared to HESI was a bit more difficult because it if more detailed in the AP, Bio, and chem section. English was more detailed too, with specifics that I dont ever remember learning. Get a good TEAS book, I liked mometrix. Just study weeks before that way you are not pressured and miss stuff. Take your time and study and then try the test.

I called Lori this time instead of the school. She said they wont know if they are accredited until Feb. @JessicaCCG

Oh wow, but are they regionally accredited? Does it matter? I guess I'm not really sure how accreditation works. I briefly looked into it. P.s I know you are replying to Jessica, but I am curious too!

So I just contacted ACEN today and they do not appear on the list. From what I understand jobs and the NCLEX or whatever have preference for people that attended an ACEN program and to apply to a BSN program I think your ADN program must be accredited.

Yes that is correct. Does it show them denied? They just applied so I guess it doesn't show because it wont be until a few months. BON does approve them to take the NCLEX. It shows it in the pass rates for the last 5 years. Unless, I am not understanding all this.
