Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else is starting this program Oct 1st....? maybe we could start a support system of sorts....I am excited to finally get on the road to finishing this degree:nurse:!
You are so right Angela. I didn't think I would ever do this- been out of school a long time and am quite comfortable in my skin. I don't have any particular need to put myself through this, but I believe that we choose (create?) paths to take in our lives that lead us to where we are supposed to be. It is exciting and scary to begin these new journeys.
It's official! I am a WGU student in the RN-MSN program beginning October1st! I had my intake interview today, which is just verifying personal information, answering any questions I had and making sure I understand how the program works.I am not pleased about having to take Foundation Math and English, along with 2 other English and 2 other Math courses, but I am thrilled that I don't have to take Biochem, A&P, or Microbiology.
The enrollment counselor told me to do something nice for myself cuz I will be VERY BUSY after Oct 1st. GULP, think I just upset my happy quiet little life!
Just had my intake interview an hour ago! I'm in for Oct 1st too!!! I was told that you can have 12 credits open at the start of the term, then possibly only one at a time.:)
I have been out of school for 7 years and i know how you feel, but that fear is what pushes me to do it, whats the worse that could happen besides taking longer to finish or failing, just get back up and try again, at least that's what our parents taught us and what we teach our children. i am not afraid of failing, I'M AFRAID OF NOT TRYING!!!:smackingf ONE THING I DO HATE IS.... I SHOULD OF.... We all have alot of I SHOULD HAVES....
Well....I just pulled the money out of my IRA to go to school. I'm trying to start 11/1. So, I'll be a month behind you guys, I guess. Got the money coming, passed the admission assessment, going to get the transcripts ordered first thing in the morning. Then it's going to be "how fast can you go?"
My IRA looks like I'll be working until roughly 2099.

you made the right decision, just trust yourself, if it wasn't the right move to make, none of us would have went through this much to get where we want to be. Think about it , anything that is easy to obtain is usually not worth having.
