Hi, everyone! I will be starting RN-BSN June 1st anyone else starting then or currently in program? I have been an RN for 22 years and have not been in school for awhile. Looking for some tips/advice on how taskstream rubrics work. Thanks for any comments. I look forward to finding fellow students to go through program with!!
Hi! I am planning on starting July 1st. Just got my transcript evaluation today. Have to retake Human Growth and Development and A and P 2 because I had credits from a technical school LPN program that they won't take! I also have to take the Biochemistry and Statistics. A little disappointed with that the tech school credits didn't work out, however super excited that I don't have to take the additional math class that our local university was going to require. I've been out of school for 21 years, but my job of 13 years as a school nurse just got cut to part time, so it's time to go back to school. Good luck everyone!!
Hello, I just started June 1st as well for RN-BSN. I've already completed one course and hope to have another completed by Sunday. I am MOTIVATED to complete all 10 Nursing courses in this 6 month term!! Unfortunately I start a new (and demanding job) on Monday, and have kids home all summer I hope my kids don't kill my motivation.
HI to you all...I just started a FB group WGU RN-BSN July1, 2016.....June, July, August enrollees.....lets support each other! Feel free to join,
I am starting the program July 1st, will have orientation open for me tomorrow, then I hear a class will be available for my review and start on it, although cannot submit anything until July1st...How are you June people doing so far?
I have finished nine classes in two and a half months. Five more to go and I'll be done! So burnt out already in between community health field hours, testing, studying, and modules for organizational systems. But hopefully there will be a light at the end of the tunnel before October! One term hopeful here!!!!

How did you do it?
I started in April and only completed 1 course.
I might not be motivated, maybe because i am sort of resistant to actually getting a Bsn.
It could also be that my coworkers are anti-education. I told no one that i am going for the Bsn.
Not really motivated to get a degree making the same pay.
I am set to start RN to BSN August 1 and have 34 credits to complete including Statistics and Biochemistry. Will be keeping tabs on this page and will also look for the FB page as well. Anyone who is also starting in August can find me on FB as Laura Fortson McLendon in GA. Would love some study partners to help us get through this and help to stay motivated. Excited and nervous at the same time.
Hi anyone in California that had experience with WGU, I spoke with an admission rep and she said preceptorship are not in a hospital just community based like in clinic. Is this different from going to a State University in California where they do preceptorship in a hospital, and does that matter with getting a job after BSN with WGU where you precepted? Any input/feedback would be great!
I am really interested in WGU because of its flexibility and leas expensive. But my concern is would hospitals not want to hire me because I went to WGU or it doesn't matter as long as I have my BSN and have experience working as an RN.
