Hello!
I am a pre-nursing student looking at a few options for school. I'm a little familiar with WGU through friends. I've read mostly good things about there RN to BSN and BSN to MSN programs. Although this is the first time I've seen an online pre-licensure option. I've done quiet a bit of research, (I've checked their accreditation, consumer affairs, etc and all checked out well) but I would like some opinions from fellow medical field workers. The hospital I work at (it's an HCA facility) supports WGU and offers a 10% discount on tuition if you go there. Clinicals are also completed at a few HCA facilities as well. I feel like this would be a good option for me since I work full time. Any thoughts?
Thank you
Yes, plenty of practice time in simulation and an AMAZING clinical experience!! I highly recommend the program as a whole.I did not dislike the physiology class, but I also lived in an apartment at the time so had to really plan when I did all of the labs for it. At least when I took the course in 2015, it required that I do the labs and submit photos of each to be graded. It also involved a pig dissection, which was fun, but my mom was not too thrilled that I visited to use her deck for that one
I used to teach a bio dissection class for our homeschool high school group. We dissected crayfish, worms, fetal pigs and perch in our church kitchen. And if you tell anyone, I'll have to kill you.
