Anybody else heard anything like plans to start a Family Nurse Practitioner MSN program? If so would you pursue your FNP through them?

My program mentor told me it is coming in 2020.

Recently posted on the rn-bsn page from a current student was a letter from her mentor saying the fnp program is coming Spring 2020.

My student mentor confirmed that FNP is hopefully going to roll out in Spring 2020 . I’m totally excited . I love , but don’t know if I want to wait that long either ???

Hi Salmo23,RN,

I decided I did not want to chance and wait blindly. I went on to another program. It would be nice to see FNP program get rolling though!

If you don’t mind me asking , but where did you decide to pursue your FNP? I also want to keep my options open . I’m scared I won’t get in a legitimate FNP program because of ’s pass or fail. I have some “not passed” on my transcript because of classes I didn’t finish on time ?

Was it difficult to get in ? I live in Texas, wonder if I can apply from Texas ?

Do you have to go to campus or have intensives/check offs??

My class has students from Texas. They do have annual summer intensives. You look for your own preceptors. You can check their website for admission requirements.

FNP is in the works.

What is your source please?

WGU has just posted a job for program chair FNP on LinkedIn. It's definitely happening! Only to start in 12 states at first.

I just read the job posting on their website. I am curious which states the program will begin in. It states eventually, the program will be offered nationwide. By the sound of it, this is just the beginning stages of it. I wonder when the FNP program will actually begin...
