WGU CASAL II

Published

Just about to finish CASAL I clinical rotations and wondering what CASAL II skills we will need to learn?

Also do we have to take an ATI exam for this particular CASAL II? or will it be a in-home objective exam?

Hi, there. Welcome to Allnurses.com, the world's largest nursing peer to peer network on the world wide web today.

When you mentioned WGU, are you referring to Western Governors U?

Yes Commuter. CASAL is WGU pre-licensure code for Med-Surg.

And OP, your student mentor is the best person to answer these questions.

I can't remember the skills for CASAL 2, but they change the program a lot so even if I did remember I'd still confirm with the course mentor on this. CASAL 2 I believe has a WGU assessment and not an ATI assessment. Chronic has a very challenging ATI exam that includes CASAL 2 and Chronic material. It is by far the hardest test in the entire program so definitely study. Usually you can pull up SOOMO and peak around for the courses ahead by going to your degree plan. You can kind of peak through there to see what is involved with your next courses. Hope that helps and good luck to you!
