Westminster College CRNA App: Start 2023

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey all,

Let's watch this Westminster College application process together!

Notes: the app went live July 1, 2022 and the deadline is September 30, 2022. Sounds like interviews were in October last year and decisions went out October/November.

Post if you find out anything to share! Good luck to us all!

I just got an email that my admissions portal was updated. I got in!!

I got in too! Can't wait to meet people in our class and get started in May!

With the first two semesters being online, how many are planning on moving to SLC for the May semester? Or will anyone be waiting until after the first two semesters?

I placed a deposit on a different school so will be declining my acceptance today to open up a waitlist spot.

My plan is to work as long as possible then move down after the first 2 semesters.

Not sure where you are moving here from so to you it might be cheaper than where you are currently at but cost of living here is pretty substantial in my opinion.. and wages definitely do not match yet because it used to be cheap to live here.

For reference my 3 bed 2 1/2 bath older townhome that we rent is about $2200 a month not including all utilities. And that’s about 30 minutes outside of SLC. SLC will cost a bit more. And my nursing wage as a nurse of 3 years is $33 an hour.

Again, it might be cheaper than where you’re coming from but just sharing so you have some insight that can help you make your decision. ? Good luck and congrats!

Thanks for the info! I honestly had planned on moving in with my parents for the first two semesters so that I would have no rent but they live about 3 hrs from SLC. I just wasn’t sure if it would be more beneficial to move there in case there were study groups or anything. But if that’s not really a thing those first two semesters I would rather take free rent for as long as possible ?

Has anyone been offered a spot from waitlist?

I have one more interview tomorrow, but am strongly leaning towards Westminster after hearing more about the clinical/additional enrichment the program offers ☺️

Has anyone created a facebook Page for this new cohort?

Not that I’m aware of but that’s a good idea!

I created one just now! It is under “Westminster CRNA Class of 2026”. My intent is for it to be for students that are confirmed will be starting in May and hopefully I can adjust the group members once more info is released on the final class.
